Alcina/The Sofa
(Alcina) Ruggiero is the love interest of Bradamante. But a benevolent sorcerer has taken him captive to her island . Bradamante spends a vast portions of the poem in full armor chasing after him with her friend Melissa. The plants on the island reveals that they were once living souls. The beautiful Alcina seduces every knight that lands on her isle, but soon tires of her lovers and changes them into stones, animals, plants, or anything that strikes her fancy. soon a battel insures good vs evil

My Role
This was my second Opera to work on as a makeup artist.
I had 3 actors to complete consisting of 2 leads characters
I had a mixture of hair and makeup this time and was able to expand my hairstyling ability's with having period based opera.
Also being part of the design team from start to finish while working with the director was very beneficial, and real drove home just how much work goes into running a show of this magnitude
